History of the School
I began my healing arts practice in the metaphysical boom of the 1980’s with all the enthusiasm and idealism you would expect from a twenty-something like me. In 1991 I went solo and soon established A School for Self & Energy Awareness LLC on the corn of 47th and SE Belmont in Portland, Oregon where it remained active and open until my retirement in 2016.
The 80’s New Age came and went but I was able to sustain my school because a good clairvoyant reading and good energy healing technique and theory stand the test of time. I have literally taught hundreds of classes and done thousand of aura reading over my thirty-year career with clients ranging in age from pre-birth and infancy to senior citizens and souls on the path to reincarnation once again—on as many different topics as you can imagine.
At A School for Self & Energy Awareness LLC, clairvoyant skills were both accepted and nurtured so that they could grow beyond casual or subconscious use. Clairvoyant development was viewed as an opportunity to gain both personal and universal understanding of truth and healing.
Whether you were studying to be a professional clairvoyant or were interested in the courses for your own personal use, The Art of Energy Healing and the Clairvoyant Class offered a curriculum rich with technique, practice, though-provoking topics and time honored “secret information”.
I have left behind a legacy of alternative healing without succumbing to metaphysical mumbo-jumbo and without reading and teaching in a dysfunction, self-involved group which, if that sounds easy, it isn’t.
I am very proud and grateful to have been a part of Portland’s business landscape and to leave behind a book of metaphysical essays titled An Open Mind, a column titled Ask Erin, a blog called Clairvoyant Impressions and The Color of Sunshine, my first full length book (and its companion book to be released at a later date) that will continue to teach and inform energy healing with integrity and deference to personal power and responsibility.
The Spirit of Healing
To do good
To be grateful, generous and kind
To seek truth and acknowledge injustice
To create without compromise
To cherish innocence but outgrow naivete
To stare into darkness with unwavering determination
To lead with a heart that cannot be manipulated and a soul that cannot be corrupted
To honor the connection with life as the most sacred accomplishment of all
To take potential away from greed and
To leave a legacy that brings grace and power into the hands of the good.
